Alright, we’re keeping the Disney Birthday Party Magic going strong here as we go down memory lane…

Next up is my son’s Second Birthday party which was themed none other than Mickey Mouse!

Now, a couple things before we start…He was hardcore into Mickey Mouse Clubhouse at this age, but also loved trains. In wanting to keep with Disney party themes, I thought, “well why can’t we have a “Mickey Mouse Choo-Choo” party?

And that’s exactly what we did!

My first inspiration was the cake. I reached out to our local cake friend, who also made the honeypot cake, and essentially just told her that I wanted the cake to somehow incorporate Mickey and a train…and this is what she came up with!

Can you even?? It was such a huge hit!! Of course my son loved it, but all the party goers thought it was adorable as well!

This is the birthday party where my themed food really came out…

I bought some blank place cards at Hobby Lobby as well as some Mickey and Friends stickers (Amazon versions here and here) and used those to bring a festive flare to our party food! For some reason those Mickey stickers are getting hard to find (no longer sold at Hobby Lobby) and more expensive! I would suggest checking local craft stores, or this pack would even be cute and then guests could take 1 or 2 home with them!

So here we go – our Mickey and Friends Food Lineup!

Chip’s Chicken Salad and Dale’s Pimento Cheese sandwiches. These were just made on plane white bread and cute out using a Mickey shaped cookie cutter. And not pictured – I had a few Mickey Mouse PB&J sandwiches for the toddlers in attendance!

Hot Diggity Dogs – just some good ole fashioned “pigs in a blanket” aka little smokies wrapped in crescent dough.

Donald’s Cheese and Quakers – pretty self-explanatory here!

Pete’s Treats – similar to my Tigger Tails and Eyeore Tails – I had a friend of ours make these adorable chocolate covered pretzel sticks for party muchies as well as take home treats for our guests!

And for drinks we had Pluto’s Punch and Tootle’s Tea! I had leftover stickers from the food cards, so last minute I decided to throw these on some clear plastic cups and add some fun straws!

And there you have it my friend – a very simple yet fun and festive TWO year old birthday party, perfect for any Disney and Mickey loving kids (or parents)!
